When you buy these you would expect them to perform like good old zip ties but they don't, it's almost impossible if You insert the end, you have to deform the side of the lock just to let it slide. If you tighten it the way you want it won't hold because you deformed it to allow it to slide. They were a waste of money

Ideal for various types of automotive heat shields/shells. Use small scissors or wire cutters to carefully trim off the excess. I tighten them by hand and then cut. Over tightening (like pliers) will damage them as I have found myself. Works where plastic won't. They were very comfortable and I looked for them a couple of times.

Great product. The band is solid, not notched like this. A great alternative to plastic cable ties when high temperatures, weather or weight are an issue. I tied three of these zip ties together to support the exhaust pipe extension on my truck. I've had the zip ties installed for about a month now and they work great, still as tight as the first day I installed them.
