Decent price, overall quailty could be better.

I rated this carrier 3 stars, mainly for build quality. I will start by saying that I have not used it yet, I’ve only assembled it so far. So review may change after I actually take it out. That being said some pros would be: 1. The price, it’s fairly cheap. 2. It has serveral supportive brackets which makes me feel a little bit better about the overall quality of steel. 3. The hitch part it’s self seems to be pretty heavy duty. Now for some of the cons that I have noticed before even loading…

Pros
  • Provides a smooth and stable ride for your motorcycle
Cons
  • Can be difficult to align with hitch receiver during installation

Great product on my review.

I loaded my KLR mostly on to it. Ramp fell off while loading so I had to lift the back up to get the tire on the rack. Drove from AZ to Southern Florida and this thing did not move for 1400+ miles. I has the four straps and then an additional one going into my truck bed. Dallas TX traffic sucks! I almost got hit a few times as the bike blocks my truck tail lights. Good thing I have a brake light on my topper. I stopped at a Walmart and got a tail light kit for $30 that had 3m self adhesive…

Pros
  • Great product, works perfectly... Was sent to me ASAP.
Cons
  • Requires a lot of effort to load and unload a motorcycle onto it

Solid and easy in my review

You can save $100 for a cheaper version, but after reading the complaints, I decided to go for the name brand. We have a buddy scooter and this works great. Very sturdy. What I really like is that you can use the ramp on one side to take the scooter up, and the other side to take the scooter down. No backing necessary. Remember to put the ramp away before strapping-down.

Pros
  • Allows for easy access to your motorcycle during transportation
Cons
  • Can attract attention from thieves or vandals due to the valuable motorcycle on the carrier

assembly nightmare!

I would not buy this if I knew the assembly was such a PAIN in the but! The only video for assembly is way TOO fast and they made a MISTAKE and I had to re-do a portion of the build. 2 1/2 hour assembly start to finish. Get tools out, layout parts, figure the video out, and so on. The manual they give you is a JOKE! If I had to rely on that only I would have sent it back! I am an electrician and use to frame homes. I know tools and how to put things together.

Pros
  • Accessories
Cons
  • Limited weight capacity may restrict the size and type of motorcycles that can be carried

Impressive lifesaver

I bought this hitch carrier to bring home my new-to-me Genuine Stella scooter from 350 miles away. I'm a middle aged woman who could probably be considered slightly above average when it comes to assembling things, and this was a breeze {and really kind of fun, if you like that sort of thing}. The ramp could use a little extra security and stability while traveling, but it's definitely not a deal breaker, and it shouldn't be for you either. Once Stella was on the carrier and tied down with…

Pros
  • Can handle off-road motorcycles as well as street bikes
Cons
  • Can cause damage to fragile parts of the motorcycle, including fairings and bodywork

Great product but consider ramp and tie strap position.

Great sturdy device for my KTM500 EXC to ride on. Easy to assemble. Only issue I have is taking the ramp on and off while a tie strap is attached to the provided holes in the Black Widow frame. The ramp won’t come on or off it’s resting place while a tie strap is in place on the back side of the device. The ramp can’t make it past the tie strap "S” hook where Black Widow placed the hole in the frame while attached.

Pros
  • Easy to assemble and install
Cons
  • May obstruct license plates or lights, leading to potential legal issues

Strong but heavy but guess that goes together.

Seems pretty durable but is heavier than I thought it would be.Picture assembly instructions were blurred but must take care putting together, had to take back apart a couple times until I got right.

Pros
  • Cost-effective alternative to trailer rental
Cons
  • Can cause balance issues when loading and unloading due to the weight distribution

Solid Choice - my new review

True 4 star item: works as advertised, but requires a bit of messing around to do what it should. Firstly, would not recommend anyone transport the detachable ramp as pictured - mine took about 5 minutes to fall off while driving. Also the load leveling mechanism with 4 screws on the hitch is a bit finicky and you will likely need to buy replacement screws as mine kept falling out during use. Overall, would recommend for the price.Confirmed fitment with Husky 250 and KTM 690 Enduro

Pros
  • Can be used for long-distance travel
Cons
  • Can make it difficult to backup or park the vehicle if you don’t have experience using a carrier

Works beautifully except for one thing

I'm going to give an honest as possible review.Overall built strong, sturdy, all the weld are well done. The first and in reality the only negative thing about this is the overall length from the end of my vehicle. There is a good 3-4 inches of extra space separating my motorcycle from my Dodge Nitro. Maybe it is not like that for other vehicles but for me it seems to hang just too far back. I get that it maybe for extra safety but with a hitch mount you want to limit the amount of weight (and…

Pros
  • Deters theft of your motorcycle
Cons
  • Can increase the risk of theft or damage to the motorcycle while in transit
