I bought these shoes for my daughter who is 4 years old and is in her second year of tap dancing. They appear to be slightly better than the Payless shoes and about the same price. I used to be a Capezio fan, but these tap shoes are changing my attitude. They are vastly superior to the Capezio Tyettes in several ways. The faucet itself, which is made of heavier and more durable metal, produces a louder noise. And they sit flush with the outsole, with a thin layer of rubber for better traction. Finally, in addition to the drawstrings, they have a button closure so my 5 year old daughter can put them on herself. (She takes the tape to class but will use it in the concert.)…
