very convenient; add insoles

I bought a size larger than other Bloch shoes that have run small for me, but this one seems to fit. I didn't want to send them back so I bought memory foam insoles. Clear sky. Now the larger size fits perfectly and the shoe feels much more comfortable and supportive than without insoles. So I would recommend going up a size and adding insoles. Use them for counter dance and waltz.

Forgiving Dance Shoes

Very happy with this dance shoe. I have side feet that go through the instep but are otherwise average. It was extremely difficult to find dance shoes that I could wear comfortably for the 4 hours I spend in one night. It worked. Not very good arch support but with a split sole they are not designed for that. Comfort is the main advantage. There is a lot of forgiveness in the instep and in the toes - just what I needed.

Pros
  • Size: Start with the same as street shoes
Cons
  • Volume

Good if you want some heel.

Fits a larger size perfectly. I usually wear 8.5" and sometimes 9" outdoor shoes. The 9 would probably be fine for the type of dance they are made for (jazz) but for my purpose (swing dance) and not needing to fit like a ballet shoe the 9.5 is great. I still don't have any extra room in the toe box. So increase size! But they're easy to put on and take off (stretchy, no buckles) and offer a firmer heel counter than a simple foam block like some others.

Pros
  • Shaft height just below the arch
Cons
  • Without insurance

Fits like a glove but no padding or support

This dance shoe is designed for movement, dancing. Comfort and support are not the focus of this shoe. I bought 9 and it fits perfectly, stays on like a glove. The upper is made of thin, stretchy leather that offers a comfortable fit without causing discomfort. I love these shoes but I can only wear them for a few hours. There are absolutely no fillers in the sneakers. It's like ballet flats. They have a suede bottom (great for spins) and after a few hours in this shoe you can actually see my…

  • Leather upper improves arch
Cons
  • It's hard to remember but it was

My new favorite dancing shoes :)

I bought these pink size 8 Bloch training sandals. I also bought the black Sansha training sandals, a size 10 (they run small and were uncomfortably long and narrow, but that's another review). After two years of swing dancing in Capezio 1.5" character shoes I wanted a dance shoe with a low heel but still nice, especially since I'm just learning Lindy. All three models are shown in the photo for reference (Capezio also has a size 8). I also have a pair of jazz block lace up shoes (size 8) which

Pros
  • Combination rubber/leather straps to relieve pressure on ball of foot

  • Sad packaging
