Great product! It looks like a work of art. It's hard to believe that a butter dish can be turned into a work of art, but they did it. I bought it because it was made in Germany and I'm tired of buying junk from China that just needs to be replaced after a year. The only complaint I have is that you can't put a whole packet of oil in it. You need to cut it in half and then you can put both halves in the butter dish.

Advantages: Suitable for various sizes and shapes of butter. Beautiful minimalist mid-century modern design. An entire metal structure won't shatter into a million pieces when your counter-surfer dog knocks it down. Cons: Loose lid. I was hoping it would be airtight but it just sits on the base. The base is too smooth. The oil has no texture to grip and no edge to prevent it from slipping off the base. Bottom line: I love this style and would definitely keep it, but I might add some steel wool…

This is a high quality tableware. The bottom is hollow but still has some weight. The top is firm, fairly thick, and has some weight. The lower and upper parts are polished and have no rough edges. The logo is on the top and is quite small. I don't think it's that noticeable, but it would be nice if it were placed somewhere else. You'll need to cut a packet of butter in half to fit on a medium-sized plate, or snip about two tablespoons from two chopsticks. .Overall I am very satisfied with this
