Works like new once installed, but requires a little know-how

This replacement drive works just like the new Xbox! But it does take some work and a little know-how to set up, and there are some great Youtube videos to walk you through it all! The hardest part is that the old drive's circuit board needs to be installed on the new drive and soldered to the motherboard to work properly. If you have a soldering iron, the right size screwdriver and some patience. it is not so bad

Works great on Xbox One

The drive arrived safe and sound and was an exact replacement for my Xbox One (not S or X). I followed a youtube video on the replacement procedure and the new drive works great with no error messages. You will need to desolder two wires on the circuit board inside the drive and this was mentioned in the note included in the box. This $30 drive saved me from buying a new Xbox. The total time from disconnecting the Xbox from the TV to replacing the drive was about an hour. If you are careful and

It works, but you have to swap the boards.

replacement disc arrived with no instructions. Changed, but he does not read discs with games. The system hangs while updating. I contacted Revain and got another one on the way. After some research I found that the circuit board from your original replacement drive needs to be replaced. I found instructions online and exchanged them.
