Good things are best on internal hard drives

As it turned out, buying this new hard drive for my laptop didn't solve the problem. That's a whole different problem. But my purchase was quick, cheap and I'm happy with it. .These hard drives are very easy to install and speak for themselves.

First check if it is an advanced formatted hard drive.

I didn't know this was an Advanced Format drive, so I couldn't download Windows updates until I got the appropriate Rapid Storage Technology drive downloaded from Intel. After that it worked great.

Good hard drive replacement.

I used it to replace the hard drive in a friend's laptop so we can store her old OS and files in case we need them. For that it worked fine.

Today it's still spinning and she's happy.

Bought a few years ago to fix a friend's broken hard drive in his Macbook. She's still spinning and she's happy. I always trust Western Digital products. When my MacBook broke down a few years ago I also replaced mine with a Western Digital drive, only 1TB and it still works. I haven't had any problems with these drives yet and will continue to use them on my computers and on those I repair their computers on. Thank you for creating such a wonderful product.

Works as expected. A bit noisy but otherwise quiet. The package they sent in could very easily be converted into a makeshift drive case if you want to save that - just cut out where it connects and use it when you use it as an external drive, and keep it safe.
