I have an HP Z620 workstation that I have turned into a monster beast by adding a Radeon 580 graphics card. However, what Revane recommended was NOT what I needed. I needed THIS connection (two 6 pin females to one 8 pin male) and it worked great. I took a picture of the plug I received - it corresponds to the description.

As you can see in this photo I received an 8 pin connector with a 6 pin and a disconnected 2 pin, which side of the 6 pin will be the disconnected 2 should -pin go? Of course there is a risk of ruining my new graphics card or my computer. It's really behind the times. Why do I have to give this one star? It's so backwards that the parameters should be on the negative side of zero.

I bought a new Geforce 2060 to replace my old 660s which were in SLI format. Both required 6 pin Pic Express power cables while the 2060 n required 8 pin. There are 6 to 8 pin adapters that don't require two, but I felt safer not trying to pull 150 watts through 1 6 pin cable rather than the supposed 75 watts.

I got this cable because my Dell Precision desktop computer only had 2 6 pin cables and I bought a Radeon RX 5600 XT which requires an 8 pin cable. Tests show that the card draws 150-160 watts all the time under full load, so the cable is working properly.
