That's exactly what I needed. Up to 2 large American coffees can be prepared. It has a great design and good build quality.

I bought a larger version for my husband and was very happy. I bought this as a gift for my brother-in-law who doesn't drink much coffee so the size is perfect.

I bought a pair of these and about the third time I used them I broke one of the carafe's glass parts. Glass is very fragile. But the cut is almost healed! Seriously, I only gave it two stars because they make pretty good coffee. Otherwise it would be a one star rating.

Bought to replace my first Bodum coffee maker. It had a broken handle and I noticed it was the same model but with a much stronger handle. I don't drink much coffee but when I do I need a great tasting cup and this one is a treat. Follow the simple instructions, use premium coarse ground coffee, and you'll get a great cup of coffee, first time, every time.

Note the volume in litres. With the air space you have to leave on top, this won't do more than a small cup of coffee at a time. For the price it's a rip off as the daily deal was a waste of money anyway. I had to return it but I realized it was too late. I saw one at Starbucks that actually made 3 cups of coffee for the same price. Don't buy if you don't need an espresso machine.

This is the best coffee for almost any coffee drink. Just add 2-3 tablespoons of your favorite coffee and mix with 10-12 ounces of boiling water. Cool 4 min. Press. Add desired amount to hot milk and voila! If you actually boil or scald the milk before adding the pressed coffee, you get the flavor of traditional Puerto Rican latte! Delicious! I have a tiny kitchen and it's so small and comfortable. Leaving is so easy!

This is my second press from Bodum (the first popped off the kitchen table once it was out of the metal case and lasted 3 years before deciding to gravity test it) . They are easy to clean and retain heat from the water quite well (I think the metal or insulated versions can stay warm longer). This size is roughly equivalent to 1 large "cup" American style, but actually a little over 2 cups - it all depends on the amount of ground coffee you use.
