I wasn't sure if this would work or not but since there wasn't an outlet nearby and I wanted to hook up two CCTV cameras I figured $6 was worth it . It works! Couldn't be happier!

Worked well to power 2 IR lamps BUT sensor is very flimsy, no insulation. The wire is much thinner than the one that comes with the lamp, the extension cord you bought, or even the power adapter. Feels very thin. Wouldn't recommend it.
