Building confidence: The 8 sets of cards in our self-paced study program present increasing difficulty. We suggest parents purchase all 8 sets and let kids master them in order. Designed for kids at the toddler/preschool level, through kindergarten and 1st grade up to 3rd grade. The idea is great - text needs to be larger

These are a great set of flashcards, spot on and useful but I do not understand why the text is so small compared to the space available. Each word should almost fit each card instead there is so much empty white space and smallish writing. If they had gotten this right I would have given them 5 stars as the vocabulary is really good.

Pros
  • Perfect to help my little one study.
Cons
  • Some parents might find that the 150 words included in Set A are not sufficient to fully develop their child's reading skills, leaving them seeking other resources

Durable sight words

I like that set A sight words are the most common words kids will see in children's books. These cards are laminated, color-coded, and can be written on with dry erase marker. They will last for years. I love to use Merka sight words in my K-5 EC classroom.

Pros
  • 2.5 x 0.74 x 4.5 inches
Cons
  • Limited age range: While the product is advertised for Pre-K to 3rd graders, some parents or educators may find the set too basic for the higher end of this age range, leaving them looking for other advanced reading resources

If I receive the correct set I would leave a great review

The other sets I have received are great my children are learning the words. They are written large enough to read, the cards are sturdy enough and there are little games included to help your littles learn. However, when it comes to ordering set G I always receive set C and that’s 6 times now

Pros
  • Toys & Games
Cons
  • Costly
