Once he starts throwing the ball, his rim just folds over and 2) more importantly, they don't sell a good cheap pack of replacement balls. I was a little disappointed when I saw the height of the basketball hoop. I didn't think about it at the time, but turns out my (admittedly tall) 2-year-old nephew had it below chest level. I gave this to my son for his first birthday and he loves it. I hadn't even finished assembling it and he was trying to play with it. I bought it for my two-year-old son. Today we assembled it and played with it for the first time. Pros: It is a very good size, colorful, has many buttons, and is very portable.
