🏺 Bormioli Rocco Clear Jar with Chalkboard: Stylish and Practical, 25.3 Oz Review

I haven't unpacked them and can't fool anyone. I returned immediately because the seller limited to 3 cans per ID. I thought they were going to sell their product and make some money; I do not think so. However, I bought 3 packs of 64oz which would be fine for my use.

I use this to store homemade butter. The seal will spatter which was not the case with the last glass. It had a heavier red rubber pad that (years later) hardened. So I finally got a new can. The old one didn't carve. The new one has a thin white rubber pad that quickly becomes moldy and needs frequent cleaning.

in jars everything is fine except for wire clasps. Upon receipt of the transparent Bormiolio Rocco cans, they were immediately washed in the dishwasher. The wire ties looked awful! Corrosion on all wire surfaces (cheap wire?), shiny when broken in and dull and cheap looking after washing. Why doesn't Bormiolio make stainless steel bars? Other can makers can do that!

I had a clear glass dog biscuit jar that I accidentally broke and couldn't find anything to replace (technically it was a clear glass dog biscuit jar with black ceramic lid). I saw them and decided to try them (if they weren't attractive for display I would only use them for storing food in cabinets). It's beautiful, seals well, the chalkboard finish is good, leaving no phantom letters after wiping. I have 2 and will likely buy more in the future.

Have seen them in use in various high end coffee shops for years. Now I have them and I save my coffee beans to keep the roast as fresh as possible just before sealing. The freshness that explodes upon opening Kona, Jamaican Blue, Kopai Luwak, etc. is like being in a barista shop. The oils are also available for a month or more, as on the day of purchase. Which you will not find in cheap fakes. I even checked all the lenses in their store to make sure they use the same lenses. Definitely great…

I like the quality of these glasses. The lids are amazing and when the rubber seal is in place they are airtight. I use a few smaller ones to alternate starters. You can close the starter lid if you don't remove the rubber seal and the yeast gets enough air to breathe. I just keep one in the fridge with a batch of sourdough. The only thing I don't like about the jars is that the metal lid seal tarnishes a lot when washed in the dishwasher and there doesn't seem to be a way to remove it without…
