Brake fluid has very low hygroscopicity but high boiling point like racing brake fluid. than traditional DOT 4 fluid. This reduces the likelihood of rusting in the tubing and extends the life of the hydraulic brake components. It is an ideal replacement for German vehicles that require DOT 4+ fluid or any other vehicle that you would like to use the mentioned benefits for.

Higher boiling point

Excellent brake fluid replacement with a much higher boiling point than OE. I use it in my Integra GSR build that I use for canyoning. Brake pads and brake lines made of stainless steel. After flushing the new Dot 3 in the car and replacing it with a Bosh my brake fade stopped and I could brake a little more aggressively if needed, don't know how it will hold up. on the track but for the occasional canyon ride this works great for an amateur like me.

This is a great general purpose brake fluid

Although this is not racing brake fluid I would like to know that I can extend the service interval between fluid changes. Although the price may seem high at first glance, the extended life of this fluid means fewer fluid changes and therefore lower costs over time compared to using other fluids. Also, a higher boiling point and lower viscosity than DOT 5.1 gives me confidence that my braking system will perform at its best for longer and with a greater degree of confidence. However, I didn't…

Everyone should upgrade to Bosch 5.1 Brake Fluid

For all Motörheads this is the brake fluid to go for and you know why! For everyone else, this is also the liquid to use. It replaces DOT 3 and 4, which are the minimum required for all vehicles. This brake fluid is superior to both DOT 3 and DOT 4 for two reasons: significantly lower viscosity (improves costly lubrication and performance of the ABS system) and significantly increases the brake fluid's boiling point should you encounter a situation where your brakes are sagging , This is done…

I'm glad I bought it and traded it for this one

The specs look fantastic. What more could you want when you get low viscosity, high boiling point and less hygroscopicity? Since it's Bosch, I know it's verified by a third-party lab. I just did the first brake fluid change on one of our cars due for a two year flush. The manual says "check fluid" but instead I decided to try a flush. I'm glad as a lot of dirt and air bubbles came out that I could see visually. Flush after 2 years and while you're at it, upgrade to this fluid. Since the…

Really the best brake fluid

My 2009 Camry needed a brake fluid change and I was trying to figure out which fluid was the best to buy. After a bit of research, this Bosch liquid seemed to catch the eye. It appears to be superior to other liquids in almost every way. It is more durable, has better thermal performance, and most importantly, is suitable for any vehicle with recommended Dot 3, 4, or 5.1 fluid. I was waiting for a good braking performance test that took place on Route 101 the other day. The car in front braked…

Flush and refill every 2 or 3 years.

Recent research by the National Automotive Care Board found that 86 percent of the vehicles they randomly inspected at state vehicle inspectorates had at least one item that could cause vehicle failures. Fifteen percent of these vehicles had low, dirty, or deteriorated brake fluid. In other words, more than one in ten cars you drive on city streets and highways can break down due to brake fluid problems. Brake fluid is a key component of any hydraulic braking system. Not only is the fluid…
