Bosch SP0F000046 Style Triple Chrome Review

*Update* Installed these gauges and about 2 weeks after the ammeter went wrong. The arrow in it hangs and is not accurate. I knew I should have bought SunPro meters. Photo with the car turned off. Arrow in I at 11.

This set is of good quality but I had a problem finding that all the fittings are metric. As a result, the connection of the oil pressure line to the cylinder block was not SAE-compliant. Do I now need to find a conversion kit (SAE to metric) or new fittings?

These sensors are very accurate and clear. They are good quality at a competitive price. Installation is easy, especially if you have a good knowledge. I replaced the stock taillights with LEDs which makes them really bright!

Surprisingly good. I wanted regular brands but they were out of stock. Got a BOSCH device - didn't know Bosch made stuff like this - and it's perfect. just perfect perfect. It seems to be a much more expensive device but at this price it's too good! I was expecting the usual imported crap and was pleasantly surprised.

Well it turns out I can't use it because the seller didn't advertise it properly. I was expecting a mechanical oil pressure sensor, but nowhere in the description does it say a mechanical temperature sensor. The temp gauge was the main thing I needed but I think I'll have to eat the loss and find another setting because the short cord definitely doesn't reach where I need it in a rear engine car.

I bought these because the previous black dial indicators had failed. I chose Bosch because it's a serious name. They have white faces with black lettering and are much easier to read. They were made by the same company in the same country as the previous kit and I'm not happy about that. For this reason I have not bought any previous sensors. I have to say, however, that they work well in my Chevy '66 pickup. I only wish I had a set of gauges that were made in America.

This kit was purchased to replace some of the old non working sensors in the 76 Scout II and was really easy to install and works great. Or at least it was working great until the nylon/plastic hose they installed for the oil pressure line ruptured and spilled oil over the side of the engine while driving, leaving me with a nice oily puddle in my garage after the way parked. Had to order the correct copper line to complete the job. The plastic leash lasted me no more than 3 days of light use…

Somehow they overlooked the fact that this is a mechanical water temperature sensor! It's supposed to be a mechanical oil pressure gauge, which is accurate. But if you think you can use this temperature sensor as an electrical one, I'm sorry to say, but that won't happen. Now I have to order an extra gauge and use the other one as a press as I won't be changing my settings to include a gauge that wasn't even properly advertised.
