🔥 BOXI Blower Motor Fan Assembly for 2001-2004 Dodge Dakota & 2001-2003 Dodge Durango (4885669AC) Review

Having lost my second electric fan resistor pack in 2 years, in addition to the fan making unusual noises in the days leading up to the second failure, I decided to give this a go to replace both the motor and the resistor block. It was an easy install and so far so good.

I put this fan in as a replacement as mine died. It was very disappointing when everything was installed and was incredibly flimsy. At the highest setting it blows air out of the vents with the same force as the old one (and now the one I replaced it with) at the lowest setting. I immediately deleted it and replaced it with another one from somewhere else.

Constantly changing airflow controls. Bought it down to a worn fan motor. Ordered and installed, took about 15 minutes and haven't had to change the regulator since. The only downside is that it's a lot louder than any other fan I've heard, not particularly loud but noticeable. However, it is worth buying.

I installed this fan and heard it work but no air was flowing. I spent days trying to solve the problem. The fan wiring has been reversed (reverse polarity). Now it works and blows fine after I cut the wires and toggled but very disappointed that I had to diagnose my entire system to find the problem assuming the blower was correct.

Bait and switches, the product sent did not match the photo in the ad, the photo on the left is what I received on the right, it's OE, it has a solid middle one Hub inside the cage fan, the other not, it was more like spokes resulting in no airflow, the old fan I cleaned and reinstalled pushes more air at low RPM than the new fan at high RPM. I sent it back. I do NOT recommend BUYING this item!

Due to time constraints I had to decide not to return the product as it arrived already broken (3 mounting holes, one was completely broken off). However, I was able to use it and it works as expected. Fits perfectly. Let's see how it holds up over the next 6 months and beyond. Don't forget to change the resistance at the same time. In general, for such a price, it works well.

After replacing 2 fan motor resistors in 3 days. I started comparing blower motors and bought this one because I saw that it actually had a cage nut. That told me the quality is better than the clip. A science teacher in his 50s looks for such things. By the way, this one was $2 cheaper than the C-Clip model, which has many reviews. Very happy with the purchase.
