The hook doesn't even fit in the grooves leading to the pins and the yarn gets caught when you try to knit. The quality doesn't match the price. I was expecting something higher quality and this is just sloppy. As you can see, the pins aren't even all straight.

The pins have very narrow guide slots, making it difficult for beginners to use hooks (not keen on it). Worse latches on top of each pen. They are very deep and difficult to slide down after each row. Expect some chipped nails. There are much better options for a comparable price.

They are harder than you would expect for little fingers, or at least harder than I expected, even for my adult fingers! However, I was told that part of my problem was how tightly we knit. We used three rows of worsted yarn, so if you don't mind a looser knit, this could be a lot easier. Of course, this requires some patience. I really don't think he makes a hat to wear. You will probably need a larger loom for this.
