That's an old lightbulb. There are newer Cree PAR30Ls to buy

I ended up buying newer commercial Cree bulbs from 1000bulbs.com. The new units appear to be made for commercial installations and we are very happy with the performance, color temperature, beam spread and most importantly the CRI, a critical component of an LED for me.

Pros
  • good thing
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

pure white? NO WAY!

bright white? NO WAY! This is a yellow light and when placed next to an existing bright white bulb the yellowing of the light becomes even more apparent. It's a good lamp even if it's not brilliant white which is why I gave it 5 stars. I actually wanted bright white, but this lamp isn't. I will not be returning it as I could use it elsewhere. I will try to order another brand and hope to get the bright white one.

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • old

with a nice even sheen around the edges

I have some old school track lighting in my dining room that focuses on 4 paintings for indirect lighting and art highlighting. I have tried various LED equivalents for 60 watt incandescent bulbs that I no longer want to burn. All were faint, blurry, or had unnatural beam spread. These 75-watt equivalents have the most natural color I've seen, with a chunky design and a Fresnel lens on the front that focuses the beam just like vintage incandescent bulbs, with a nice even glow around the edges…

Pros
  • A few competitors
Cons
  • unreliable
