These mounts are easy to install and seem thick enough. However, the location where the mounting hole is drilled does not allow me to mount my lights. It sits just above the hood, and since it's not a slotted hole, there isn't enough room to put the nut on the underside of the bolt. I also had to buy thinner screws as the mounting holes are relatively small and didn't match the screws that came with my KC lights. Easy attachment by simply drilling another hole. My only complaint is that one of the brackets on my hood was slightly bent. This screwed the screw holding the light in the ditch right into the color of my hood. The bracket is too thick to flex easily, so I had to squeeze a piece of rubber between the screw and the case. Otherwise, it's a pretty cool mount. Slightly disappointed when I received it. The coating they applied to the trench mount seemed cheap and had a lot of chips as shown in the photos I provided. Although it's easy to fix.
