Bracket Camera Stabilizer Camcorder Microphone Review

Bought this L-Bracket to attach accessories like phone/screen to take photos of kids (a little trick to draw their attention to the camera) that attaching microphone to gimbal etc. I used to use the 'C' round arm mount but I prefer the 'L' arm because it has a built in handle. This mount is sturdy and well made.

I bought these to use with my small Canon Vixia camcorders for the days when I'm afraid to use my $10k DLSR take the rig with you into the field. I'm making a documentary about the homeless and sometimes you have to be careful and just take the less expensive gear into the field in case you lose it. This allows my little Vixia to work with a light, a mic and a small mic mixer and still use the fold out touch screen, in other words priceless!

This is a cheap L bracket. It gets the job done but feels a little flimsy and cheap. In fact I had to return the first one as it didn't have a cold shoe mount. Other than that, my only complaint is that the bottom screw comes loose easily when not in use. So it's only a matter of time before that little screw falls off and is lost forever, rendering the product useless. Although it should be a spare. The rubber seems to be peeling off a bit.
