Very surprised with the shave I got with Brauns Series3. I'm primarily a bladed shaver but wanted an electric razor for those times when it was more convenient for quick cleaning and on the go. Very glad I made this purchase. I didn't need a high end razor but I wanted a quality shave. Braun Series 3 convinces with price, quality and good shaving quality. I definitely recommend it.

We bought one for my son and one for my 88 year old father-in-law. He doesn't shave off a teenage fluff at all! I don't shave my father-in-law's coarse sideburns - not at all! My son only uses my other brand of razor. My father-in-law just goes out in public with an unwanted beard, showing patches of skin here and there. O/2 in court. Bad odds. Do not buy.

I'm rarely overly impressed; but it's a very well made product and it gives a great shave, better than even a blade. Braun seems to be one of those guys who understands when a company name is on a product and if you're building a cheap product it still reflects the company. I have no idea how good the expensive stuff is, but if it gets proportionately better as the price goes up, it must be awesome.

I bought Braun because of their long history of making affordable electric shavers. Series 3 ProSkin 3000s were wireless and inexpensive. The downside is that it twitched a lot more than any electric razor I've used when my mustache was 2-3 days old. So you need to shave with a blade to save time and take off your mustache. If that problem were solved, this would be a decent razor for the money.

I have the blue version of the 3000 series and it only took a second for my gym bag and travelling. It works well, better than other razors at this price point, so I'm happy with the quality of the shave. HOWEVER - be careful if you are used to other model 3000 razors - this one doesn't have a trimmer. Not VERY much, but I'm deducting two stars because not only is this not mentioned anywhere in the product description, but the picture that says "Resolves Tough Areas" actually shows a picture…

Update: Effectiveness in one fell swoop - False advertising. This thing is destroying my neck and under my chin/jaw. Every time I use it I get new irritated pores and ingrown hairs. The experience with this razor is no different than the more expensive model I had a few years ago. It seems that if you clean and oil it, it will be better than an expensive model. Cheaper foil. A cleaning station and the purchase of liquid are no longer necessary. The only thing I don't like is that I don't get…

Fits well in the hand. Easy to take apart. Very wearable. I have had electric razors in the past and they are just as good. I'm not thrilled with the performance, but it works as expected. In my experience, nothing beats the speed and precision of a razor. I bought it because I was tired of throwing away disposable razors or looking for obsolete replacement parts for ever-changing styles. I spend a little more time shaving in the mornings, but I can take it in the car and shave on the go.

Although the electric shaver looks great, it shaves TERRIBLE. I would have preferred the razor to look terrible, but it shaves fantastically. I bought the razor because my 93 year old bedridden father on blood thinning medication cannot shave with a regular disposable blade.
