Package received on time, ahead of schedule. The foil and the cutter were in the original packaging, just like in the local store. They fit and work well with my Braun 8985 shaver.

I really like this razor - shaved smooth, minimal skin irritation. Shaving heads typically last about a year with daily use and are fairly easy to swap out, returning performance like new.

The knife blade was not sharp. I tried to report this to the seller. I asked for another replacement. He said NO because the package had been opened. I asked how to tell if a product is good or not without opening the package. I just asked for a replacement. I paid a high price for this cutter, I expected it to work well. It is not. The seller did not help.

I noticed the foil changing light was on. I was considering replacing my shaver as it wasn't doing its job very well and some of the new models looked like they could do the job better. But just for fun I ordered this replacement. WOWO, what a good shave! All thoughts of another brand of razor vanished. Next time I probably won't wait for the lights to come on.

As the title says, getting the right replacement cutter for my 5 series was hit or miss. I bought from this particular supplier because the last two products in the OEM packaging stopped providing an effective shave after four to five months - well past the advertised lifespan of 18 months. So far so good, but it's only been 45 days. I've found Braun's quality control to have been superficial over the past few years.
