This hydrometer is a must-have tool for home brewers. Its accuracy is impressive, and the hard case provides excellent protection during storage. Based on our own experience, we were impressed with how easy it is to use, making the whole process much more convenient. However, it would be nice if it came with a cleaning brush to ensure that it stays 100% accurate. Overall, we highly recommend this product for home and kitchen brewers.

We've used it a few times already and understand that dividing the numbers by the type of wine you can get based on sugar content (e.g. Moscato, sweet wine, etc.) it's like doing the math for You done! Durable plastic, closes well and keeps hydrometer nice and secure.

Please note that this device is intended for people who prepare a large amount of drinks. If you're just making a gallon of kombucha and want to check your progress, you'll have to sacrifice 2-3 cups of your drink for each measurement. The alternative is to measure in your brew vessel, creating a risk of contamination. The instrument requires approximately 30 cm (1 foot) of vertical clearance to measure in the 0-5% range and is approximately 2 cm wide.
