This is the correct replacement for the Rangeaire hood in my apartment. Perfect size etc. BUT the metal frame is brittle and razor sharp on the corners. must also be exchanged.

Need to replace the old one it was so greasy and full of junk. Was glad they sold a replacement! It was a little thin and flared a little on the sides. When I tried to install. I don't even know if everything worked out for me and I was afraid that I would crush it. But it's in pretty good condition. I'm glad to see they are selling a replacement. I don't know the price because I didn't look in the store.

I am very happy with this purchase. Ordered May 20th, received May 22nd. It was packaged well and in good condition (no scratches or dents). Measurements are accurate (11-3/8" x 11-3/4"). Fits perfectly on my Whirlpool range hood, although looking up my product number didn't confirm it would fit (range hood and range hood are 16 years old). Looks just like what was there. Looks very solid - snaps into place with no problems. Will order more now knowing it fits.

At first I was wondering why this hood attachment needed a carbon filter when the airflow from my house is out and not in. The reason I feel compelled to comment on this filter is because of my own ignorance. let me explain. Perfect for my Rangaire hood which uses a 43000 series aluminum filter (aluminum filter size 11 3/8" x 11 3/4"). The activated carbon filters that can be purchased are placed behind the aluminum filter and are smaller because the aluminum filter is a light filter, i.e. the white part is above the electric light. Both worked great. It took some maneuvering to put the filter back in place as the filter completely covers the area and my Rangaire hood has 4 small flaps or latches (2 on each side)…
