I used to buy replacement filters from Home Depot but it was difficult to find undamaged filters. Aluminum filters are quite brittle as part of the filter breaks easily when hit or rubbed hard against it. Tired of trawling through a bunch of filters and Home Depot, I wanted to try Revain. Luckily I did that a few years ago and have been buying from Revain ever since.

I bought these after spending an hour degreasing the filters on my Allure hood. These replacements are fine. They are a bit thinner and lighter than the original filters and also have more flex, but they fit well. There is a small gap that can be sealed with tape. Airflow through the filters is good, so if you don't cook a lot of fried food you might prefer these, if you want to grease a joint you might need thicker filters. Either way, it's better than living with clogged filters.

The description says this is a replacement filter for the QS1 hood. "The original filter in the photo I've provided looks as it should, with two small slits on one side." The back of the filter inserts into a metal spring at the back of the hood, and the front of the Filters with slotted holes are attached to two tabs at the front, of which I have attached a photo. The BPS1FA30 filter is also undersized, being 1/8 inch smaller in width and length.

I needed a filter that fits in the filter compartment of the furnace flue, fits perfectly. The package contains 2 filters, one in one. The filters are a little flimsy and look the same as the ones we replaced, exact replacement. They don't look durable, but they're good enough as filters. As long as they don't move, the filters will last a long time. I thought at this price they would be much stronger.
