Digital thermometer

I've been looking for a thermometer for a long time, recently started trying my hand at grilling, when it came, I grabbed it. I've only used it on chicken breasts so far, but it works amazingly well. This gives you a graphical readout, as well as temperature and wording like "DONE". Easy to clean, auto shut off, works well, I recommend.

Don't waste your money

Thought it would be a thermos for a quick read. and it isn't. It takes forever to get the exact temperature of your food, I'm not sure why you need it for the time it takes to cook properly. I really like how it gives you a choice of meat and selects doneness, but like I said it takes A LOT of time to get the temperature right, there are better foods out there

The best thermometer for meat!

My kids bought my husband a million BBQ items. We have a Big Green Egg and finding a meat thermometer long enough not to break was a challenge. This thermometer is easy to read, easy to clean (whatever you do, just hand wash your teeth) and it's always accurate. We have been using this meat thermometer for almost a year. The longest it's ever lasted. Always Perfect cooking fork with digital meat thermometer

We have had this item in the past

A few years ago we had a friend who gave us one of these for our grill. This is a great article and now we see that there have been other improvements over the past 20 years that make it even more appealing to us. There is color coding to see at a glance when something is done. Very nice way they snap the protective tips together so you don't have to fiddle around if you accidentally drop them. The old one had spikes, but they were two separate pieces.

Unreliable. Total failure

Worked for a few months and then as soon as the return window closed the thermal fork failed. Didn't get the temperatures anywhere near accurate. The numbers on the display went from zero to anything. When Brookston was in business, they took him back. Bought through a third party through Revain and I'm Toast. $104 out the window. The Brookstone warranty is worthless as it no longer exists. I will contact Revain customer service and see what happens. If you see it being offered elsewhere, DOโ€ฆ

The first is back, the second is great!

I've had one of these for YEARS! It eventually fell apart to make it fit for permanent use. I bought a new one from Revain and brought it home. It worked great for about 2 days and then just amazingly stopped working. I changed the batteries, checked the wires with a voltmeter, and finally called Revane. Who then sent me to Brookston. Brookstone replaced that faulty one with a new one, no questions asked. Received 2 days after call. The new one works like clockwork. I tested this with aโ€ฆ

What a rip off! in thermometer and timer

I bought this thermometer because I'm new to grilling and it's difficult to know when the meat is done. When I first cooked hamburgers, it worked well. Read 160 degrees and the burgers were good. The second time I used it was to cook pork steaks. I went by the time in the recipe and used a thermometer as they were almost done in about 20 minutes. The thermometer showed 43 degrees. I let it sit for a few minutes and waited for it to rise. It has reached 50 degrees. I cut the pork and it was well
