Not compatible and no returns.

No returns within a week of delivery. Didn't work with my computers. Tried it on 2 different PCs - never on a Mac. Follow all instructions and all possible downloads to fix the problem. Still does not work. I don't know what's going on but I have Windows 10 on both computers. Don't buy it if you're not sure it works as you can't return it if it doesn't.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Wrinkled packaging

I love Brother QL-700 printer

We have two QL-500 and two QL-700 printers in our office (we print a lot of labels). These printers are workhorses and we've printed thousands of labels on each one. Easy to use, can merge emails for mailing labels or almost any other use. It is very easy to change label cassettes of different sizes and the printer will automatically adjust to the new label cassette. We have used file folder labels, address labels, shipping labels, name tags, etc. We were completely happy with it.

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • Communication with seller

Finally found a great label printer.

I love this label printer! Not too big to fit on my desk at home. I use it mainly for home business and also for some personal purposes. Label rolls are very easy to insert. they just snap. I keep several sizes close to the printer for easy access. Another great thing is that you never need ink, just refill the ribbon. Everything prints clearly, unlike any other label printer I've used before. And the labels really stick, unlike the same previous label maker I've used. That's all I could ask…

Valuable label printer

I don't send many emails daily compared to many buyers. It has features far beyond anything I will ever need. But I do enough mailing to automate tagging. I can do with a cut/pasted printout of the buyer's address. I no longer worry about number mix-ups or other silly mistakes resulting in a buyer's item being returned due to my mistake. Setup was easy. I use compatible universal labels that work just as well as the Brother sample labels they sent me. Will I buy them again? In an instant I was…

Pros
  • Best in niche

  • Upgradable

Sometimes a laser printer just isn't good enough and who wants to spend a whole sheet of labels on one or two print jobs. Add to that the need to remember which side is up or which labels you last used in order to use the correct spot on your sheet of labels. It was a bit of a hassle to set up and you REALLY need to call to install this store before the software. There were a few updates, directions weren't clear and just a pain until I called. Other than that, it's fantastic and very easy to…

Frustrating hardware

I bought a Brother QL-700 printer for my business use 2 years ago. About 6 months ago it stopped correctly detecting what label stock was installed and gave an "Incorrect Media Size" error. The only label that is recognized correctly is a 0.94 inch round label. He refuses to print anything else. I looked online and many others encountered this error. label-sensitive pins engage in the plastic shank of the label cartridge. I did it and it's absolutely clean. I am very cautious after this…

Pain to install, great when it's done!

Here is a review from a guy who figured out the installation process. Find him and do EXACTLY what he says. In particular, the order of installation. Don't just let your computer find and install drivers etc. Do everything in the exact order this guy says and save yourself an hour of frustration. Full version of label making software is ok. The software itself is not that fast and very low-tech. However, creating a label is very easy, and as soon as you click the print button, the label will…

Includes really good software

As others have pointed out the printer works very well but I was surprised at how good the software was. In general, I find the software that comes with such products to be very poorly designed and limited in functionality. However, the Brother software is fairly full-featured (including the ability to import CSV files or connect to an SQL database) and logically laid out. I was able to print a series of labels from data in an Excel spreadsheet with a custom layout in less than 30 minutes after
