That's bright Hope this lasts long. now to fund 3 more kits lol thats amazing i would love to buy a few more for a boat project. All I can say is wow I'm not disappointed once I seal it in a clear tube it becomes a new underwater boat light.

Compared with ordinary 2811 strips, these 2815 LEDs are not only matched, but also bright and clear. The reason I bought them was to see 144 LEDs per meter. I usually use 60 per meter and they look just as cool as I expected. Power consumption is great considering the customer service has been phenomenal.

Does what it's supposed to do. I thought about running in the sun and rain for 5 days in a row. No problem. Received this as a quick replacement for the defective unit I bought from their AliExpress store. In the end they returned less than 10% and they didn't want to help and take responsibility at all. I hope you get a working product or just throw your money away.

I have had no problems with the BTF 2815 light bars. They come with a silicone square tube for weather protection. I installed it in an aluminum case with clips which worked very well as the weatherproof material (silicone) is very hard to find glue that sticks. They worked without any issues, I chose them because they have two datapaths and are therefore a bit more crash-proof than some others. They worked at -13F with no problems.

These LEDs are clearly not designed for 12V operation as they get terribly hot at full brightness. They probably won't last that long. Yet they still shine just as bright at 7V even with less current and less heat. They start to dim at around 6V so 7V works best. So if you can use a variable power supply or use a buck this is one Option, otherwise just use 5v tubes like ws2812 or 2813 as they last longer and won't cause a fire.

I was able to use this with some aluminum rails to mount it permanently under my cornice to display Christmas lights , without picking them up and then constantly taking them off. 12V made longer journeys possible without a power supply. The strip is strong and well insulated against the elements. I was able to easily cut and solder this strip without much practice. At first I had a problem with this band, but after I contacted BTF, they also helped me to solve it.

I bought two strips of 5M 2815. One had two dead LEDs right out of the box. Revain accepted the return and sent a replacement. When replacing, there was a bad LED right out of the box. I could get it to work by pushing the chip through the silicone coating very hard, making it look like a bad trace or cold solder. I have had a 67% failure rate with this product so far which indicates poor quality control in manufacturing. Unfortunately, I already installed another strap, otherwise I would have…

Update: I will update my review once the project is complete. So I soldered all four strips together and protected the joints with silicone and clear shrink tubing. The remaining flat cables are replaced with 18awg round cables, silicone and heat shrink tubing. This required some adjustments, but since there is nothing like it on the market, some change was expected. The end result is fantastic! 60 feet of addressable LED strips around the pool with only two power inputs. I bought 4 of these…
