🔧 BUD Industries CU 3009: Top-Grade Aluminum Electronics for Performance-driven Efficiency Review

Works like a champ as a junction box in an off-road trailer. Painted well. I've bought quite a few things from BUD and have not been disappointed.

I am using to host a PID controller and SSR to control the temperature of my smoker. Enough space. For electronics and switches.

These aluminum project boxes work great! No bending stress cracks and very precise dimensions in the description! Expensive but! I would buy more of these if they were cheaper! But they work great as prototypes!

It's so nice to have these boxes in different sizes when you need them for a project. It's sad to see the Radio Shacks are disappearing from where I used to buy them so I have to wait for the post now. But glad there is another source.

Simple well made box, aluminium, heavy enough to be strong but still easy to cut with metal shears. I put in a cheap car stereo and 12V outlet to make a cheap Bluetooth/FM/MP3 bedside stereo. I wanted to paint the box or cover it with contact paper but it looked pretty good and complemented the car stereo so I left it unpainted.

After careful measurements I ordered this box to protect the fuse box in my 73 Avanti that someone wanted to install without a cover under the hood and not under the dash where it would be protected. Worked great and looks unique. I had to cut a hole in it for the wiring harness to come out, but other than that it fits like a glove!

Great box for a project! They fit fairly well and the included sheet metal screws can be installed for added security if needed. I used this to make a dim lamp tester - worked great! I would recommend this box to anyone looking for simple, high quality project boxes. It's lightweight, only 0.040 inches thick. Will be buying more project boxes from Bud Industries - next isolation transformer!
