I bought this lamp on March 6, 2015 to use it 10 hours a day in my aquarium. That's about 300 hours per month, 900 of them in the last three months. But the lightbulb just died yesterday. The box says 2500 hours of average use, whatever that means. 900-1000 hours is the average lifespan of this lamp. Misleading, to say the least.

Works perfectly. I installed this 15 watt lightbulb in a regular table lamp in my bedroom and it was a very good night light for my grandchildren when they were sleeping. 7W night lights are too small for children. You will be reassured by the warm glow of a 15W incandescent lamp. The perfect solution when children complain about being afraid of the dark.
