Purchased to reduce glare on a TV. It didn't work, in fact the light was so dim I couldn't use it. 60 watts is NOT 60 watts with these bulbs. If you're just buying for decoration that's fine, but be sure to buy a higher wattage than you think you need as they'll be too dim if you want both light and aesthetics.

Love these. They block glare but provide good illumination. We use them in the bathroom above the sink in a lamp without a bright "shade". Last time I ordered I found round "globe" shapes but they are harder to find. They still enhance the look of bare bulbs. I'll see how long they last.

Caveat: I received it with the intention of using it in my reflector clamp mount. Unfortunately, due to the way metal reflection works, they produce an odd pinpoint light. Therefore, they are generally not suitable for this purpose. The bulbs themselves work perfectly, they came as expected - so I rated them for what they are, not the fact that they don't meet my very specific intention for them.

I deducted a star because I was surprised at how quickly one of the bulbs burned out. We always turn off the lights when we leave the room and a lightbulb in the kitchen that we left on 3 hours a day blew out in less than two weeks. The rest seems ok. But the light quality of some ceiling lights, which I don't like that much, has improved a lot. I love how they create the feel of our home.

Some of these onions arrived with black spots on the stem, so be aware that these onions have been in storage for quite some time and are rusting on the stem; There may be bad bulbs that burn out after use. 9 months have passed and so far 3 pears are still lasting. These bulbs get incredibly hot. They'll melt the device before you even know they're doing it. DO NOT BUY THIS DANGEROUS SHIT unless you want to start a fire!
