The typical "glass" is plastic, so it doesn't break when dropped. There were also scratches on the plastic, but fortunately they are not visible. I don't think it's worth the money but it was the cheapest frame I could find with the most decent reviews. It's not bad. Looks good and serves its purpose

You get what you pay for here. Frame is ok. Problems: - small black protrusions holding the cardboard backing. If you try to set them more than once, they will break. The Plexiglas and the frame is slightly warped and creased in the middle. It's not the end of the world, but I wouldn't put anything of value in it.

This frame is one of the best value frames available from Revain. Unfortunately, such a low cost is reflected in the build quality and poor packaging. My frame arrived in a flimsy box with no proper reinforcement. As a result, a joint formed at one corner of the frame, which may have fallen off during shipment. Clear plastic or plexiglass is also cracked and shattered. The thin cardboard corner protectors just weren't strong enough to withstand normal handling and shipping.

I'm not the type to write bad reviews but wow. Not only does my 18x24 inch puzzle NOT fit in this puzzle that claims to be the right size all over, the hinges on the back fell off before I even thought of hanging it. The plastic on the front is cracked because the puzzle didn't fit. I chose this frame because I just needed something simple and easy to hang my daughter's puzzle and all the reviews sounded great. I needed a larger frame and was trying to avoid the expense of a professional frame so my options were limited but it was a big disappointment. The protective plastic is incredibly thin and I barely managed to fit the item I was trying to frame into the frame without the plastic bending or falling out. It's still unreliable, as is the framed object, and the prongs that supposedly fix it in place are too short. I didn't return it because I needed "something" but I would never buy one of these…

Summary: This is a *cheap* frame. Buy this if you don't want to spend the extra $20 on a higher quality aluminum frame with glass. To be honest, I recommend avoiding this product entirely. The frame is made of wood with a thin layer of plexiglass. Remove the protective film from each side of the plexiglass to make the surface shiny.
