Ideal for ice fishing and low temperature fishing

Bought these gloves for ice fishing and low temperature fishing. The zip pocket lets you stash hand warmers, which is a godsend for ice fishing and fishing in the coldest of temperatures. The inner gloves in the mitten itself are great, especially for fishing. I can take my hands/gloves out of mittens and tie hooks, change lures, put on bomber jackets, etc. Personally, I didn't know these inner gloves came with mittens, but I'm very glad it did. The mittens themselves get warm, sometimes I add…

NO Burton quality on accessories

Snowboarded 2 times and the seams don't match. The seams at the tip of the middle finger of the left glove came undone. It's falling apart, so Gore-Tex doesn't matter anymore because now the moisture can get in unhindered. This is the glove I use to open my boot to go up the chairlift, so it's the one I use the most. The worst thing is that 6 weeks have passed since the shipping date and a return is no longer possible. That sucks. I had to buy through REI.

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Not all fit

Impressed Impressed!

Haven't taken them to the mountains yet but I have to tell you I'm very impressed with these mittens. All mechanics make sure that the glove fits as snugly as possible after putting it on with the bands on the hand and wrist. The mechanics are amazing and make it very easy to tighten and loosen even when wearing gloves. In addition, the presence of a pocket where you can put a hand warmer is a big plus. Also, the inner glove has a sticky lining which I love so it sticks to the glove for better…

good value, warm and comfortable

I paid $48 for it which seems like a good price. I'm 5/9" tall, 145 lbs, small skinny arms. The medium one was too big and the small one was perfect. While skiing in Park City in March, they were warm enough that I didn't need a liner or inner pant. I Haven't worn them much so can't vouch for their durability My rating is based on value, comfort and warmth.

Pros
  • Excellent construction

Doesn't keep hands warm

The basic concept of mittens, unlike gloves, is that your fingers 'share' heat, keeping them warm together. So anyone who thought the technology of using a glove insert in a mitten was a good concept was wrong. Every day I walk around our block twice, for 15 minutes each time. Today I ran in my usual gloves. When I turned around, my fingers were cold. I switched to these mittens. Not only were my fingers cold, now it got even worse. When I wear gloves I can usually clench my fingers in the palm
