These sockets solved my switching problem. Exactly as advertised. It hurts a little to push them in, but if they went in easily they wouldn't be as strong as they are now!

Works great. You will also need to clear the area of any remaining rubber. Which hurts a little. First I bought NA1kit. The smaller orange socket is too small. Doesn't work on my pre-facelift Mini. FM1kit works perfectly.

I called the dealer to inquire about the cost of replacing the shifter cable (the only repair option available from FIAT), they quoted about $250 per part. I didn't ask about work. BushingFix costs about $30. Repair time was about an hour, I have an entrance. Not the easiest fix, but doable. Pull out the battery and the connection will be right behind it. Tight and a bit uncomfortable.

Good quality. It's almost impossible to slide them into the engine bay. I wouldn't recommend it as an upgrade as they are so painful. Only do this if absolutely necessary. Worst of all, the small bushing is not the right size for the F56 Mini Cooper S (2014+). It's too small and knocks at the end of the shifter. I had to wrap it with tape to install it properly. I will update this review if I find an alternative suitable for F55/F56.

So I had this break 3 years ago and this option didn't exist, cost about $180 to buy the entire dealer link to get the part than When I removed the old bushing part from the gearbox (tight space) I finally took a couple of needle vises and adjusted them to slide behind the old bushing and pull to push it out.
