Home Button Compatible only with iPad 7 7th Gen 10.2" 2019 (A2197 A2198 A2200) and iPad 8 8th Gen 10.2" 2020 (A2270, A2428, A2429, A2430) . Please check the Model Number before purchasing this Item. You will find the Model Number on the back of your device.(see product images on the left). IMPORTANT NOTE: By replacing the home button assembly, you will permanently lose the Fingerprint Touch ID function. Basically this item is for decoration only, touch ID and click function will not work. The Touch ID functionality will NOT work and cannot be restored because it is unique pairing with each device. For security reason, only the original home button touch sensor will work for your ipad. Includes Home Button with Flex Cable , Horn bracket, Gasket,and waterproof ring for fast and easy reassembly. Can't use it at all

Adhesive tape absolutely refuses to come off the paper to stick to the button arm. 100% useless. The metal bracket doesn't have a small nipple for pressing the home button. I bought this for my OEM button and it doesn't work at all. Unfortunately it's back

Not suitable for computers and accessories

Rating only - 1 star! Where are all the people that said it was great? I click 5 stars and it says no? The cable was not properly formed to connect without bending, rendering it inoperable.

So, I didn't read the entire description, apparently because I didn't know it came with no installation instructions until I got my hands on this item. I'm not a huge techie, but I was determined to find out. The photos and careful study of my original home button helped me set it up properly and pause the YouTube video I used to set up the new screen. The button works fine so far. The description is confusing as it says you don't have a "click function" but I can do all the double click…
