I bought the same product many years ago but the sheets were thicker so I could laminate ID cards, newspaper clippings etc. Now I still do this, but I have to waste an entire sheet because the only way to remove the backing paper is to separate it with the handy crease they provide (but being forced to use the entire sheet). I suspect they saved money and lowered the price by making the sheets thinner, but that's wasteful and not very good in my opinion. I would have paid more for thicker…

I have been using these sheets for laminating for years and they have worked great. This party was completely useless. I don't know what they changed, but the paper backing won't come off for sure. It just rips and tears to shreds, letting most of it stick to the foil. As I said in the title, this renders the product absolutely useless. If C-line makes a product that actually works as advertised, I want them to ship it to me to make up for the time and money spent. I spent my money on this…

Just wanted to let people know that the previous review is correct; These sheets are not as thick as those of 10 years ago. I know because I still have some of the old ones! I don't think it's half as thin as the previous version because I suspect a microscope would be needed to pinpoint that. I would have preferred the same thickness as the old version, but since I don't plan on tearing a double-sided laminated item in two, it will probably be fine.
