I was watching a video online showing how easy it is to change this filter so I decided to make this purchase rather than doing all the work for the oil change to let. It fit perfectly and was so easy to replace! Comparing the old and new filters I couldn't tell any difference. I highly recommend this product.

Tap the inside edges with a sharp chisel and hammer and it will split evenly and cleanly.

Perfect for my 2012 Ram 2500. I used a Dremel with a milling head which gives you easy control with almost a straight line you can get. The filter they offer is junk, throw it in the trash and get a good quality one. I'd also like to take the time to drop your fan motor to check the evaporator coil and make sure the damage wasn't already caused by running it without a filter. I spent 2 days spraying mine with coil cleaner, compressed air and water.

The filter is cheap but it comes with a cap so it's worth the price. I originally bought the Fram filter which costs more without a cap not knowing I would need it. 2015 and earlier frames have no filter at all! You need to cut a hole in the flimsy plastic, insert the filter and snap the cap on. Pretty easy to cut. I used a vibrating tool, but this can be done with a dremel, small hacksaw blade, or utility knife. Many videos on YouTube show how to do it. 10 minutes work depending on readiness.

There is no arrow on the element to indicate the air flow direction. Just the serial number, which I suspected would be shown right side up, which might be right. All the videos on You Tube stressed the importance of proper airflow placement. I had to cut a hole because the 2015 2500 didn't have a cabin air filter and immediately stopped because there was no arrow on the element.
