I like these lamps very much. Use in my large gun safes. The 3m thick decal works well on a secure base. My first 3 sets had a manual rocker switch to turn the light on and off. I'm a bit old fashioned and like to control the light manually. This set has an IR sensor and the light will turn on automatically when you open and close the door. It works well. You can't go wrong with these lights in your gun cabinet.

I remodeled the foyer in my home and placed them around the crown molding in the closet. They light up the closet very well and you don't notice where the light is coming from. The on/off sensor that comes with the kit does not work well. This should be within a few inches of what you want to trigger. This light kit was exactly what we wanted. It illuminates our kitchen pantry perfectly. I had to install an outlet there, but it was worth it. The downside of this product is the adhesive on the light strips. I first cleaned (actually cleaned) the surface of the door panel with alcohol wipes and let it dry. I bought a second gun cabinet and used these bulbs in it. I wanted the circuit breaker that came with it. These lights fit perfectly in my new gun cabinet! I would definitely buy them again. I was very careful when cutting the lights to length, cutting them exactly along the line.
