Description of 🔌 Enhance Networking Efficiency with Cable Matters 5-Color Combo Snagless Short Cat6 Ethernet Cable - 5 ft

High Performance Internet cable is Cat6 rated; The Ethernet cord with 24 AWG copper wire provides universal connectivity for LAN network components such as PCs, computer servers, printers, routers, switch boxes, network media players, NAS, VoIP phones, PoE devices, and more; Comes with 5-color combo: Black, Blue, Green, Red, and White, easy for cable management and cable identification. Cat6 performance at a Cat5e price but with higher bandwidth; Future-proof your network for 10-Gigabit Ethernet (backwards compatible with any existing Cat 5 cable network); Meets or exceeds Category 6 performance in compliance with the TIA/EIA 568-C.2 standard. A Category 6 Ethernet patch cable is also referred to as a Cat6 network cable, Cat6 cable, Cat6 Ethernet cable, or Cat 6 data/LAN cable. A wired Cat 6 data cable is more reliable and secure than a wireless network or Cat5 cable network for your internet connections. The connectors with gold-plated contacts and strain-relief boots provide durability, and ensure a secure connection; Bare copper conductors enhance cable performance and comply with specifications for communications cables. Flexible and durable RJ45 cable with high bandwidth of up to 550 MHz guarantees high-speed data transfer for server applications, cloud computing, video surveillance, and online high-definition video streaming.

Great cables. Excellent price.

ITEM: Cable Matters PROS:* The product description is one of the best I've seen.* They are packaged separately.* The test standards, frequency and construction mentioned in the description are great. * They work as described. I've checked the cables for errors - none.* I haven't noticed any significant signal loss or frequency degradation for CAT 6.* The color combo is a plus.* The strain relief works well. 4 times more for a lifetime guarantee, but choose your battles on this one. *I would buy

CAT5 vs CAT 5e vs CAT6

----------CAT5----------Cat 5 is the slowest of the group. It can operate at speeds of 10/100 Mbit/s (Fast Ethernet) with a bandwidth of up to 100 MHz. ----------- CAT5e ---------- Cat 5e (upgraded Cat 5) is currently the most commonly used in new installations. A step above Cat 5, it can support 1000Mbps (Gigabit Ethernet) at 100MHz. ----------- CAT6 ---------- Category 6 is a significant improvement over Cat 5e. It's really just a bee's knee. It is suitable for Ethernet up to 10 Gigabit at…

Doubtful: Cables and Connections

I bought a set of 5ft cables and they seem fine. I haven't tested them so I don't know if they really are Category 6 certified, but they seem fine. Then I bought a pack of 10 foot cords. Again, they seem to work fine, but the white cord had such a strong, disgusting, pungent, sickening smell that it immediately filled the room with such a stench that I ended up ripping the thing out and putting it in a bag and sealing it. He goes to the garbage where he either was or should be. I will probably…

High quality cables!

What a fantastic deal! For this price you get a set with 5 CAT 6 cables in different colors. Each of these cables is 5 feet long. Since they are relatively short, I use them as short ones. - Lay cables between devices. For example from a router to a distribution block or to a separate computer. I have used all 5 of these cables and none have turned out bad. These are really high quality CAT 6 cables. No hassles connecting or disconnecting. They are easy to attach and detach. Great for those of…

Wow, who would have thought that my router is the bottleneck!

Fantastic buy here! I needed new patch cords to support 1GB of bandwidth. I chose this package mainly because of the price and length (and of course the support for Cat6 protocols). The cables are relatively flexible, meaning they're easy to roll and maneuver around corners. I tested each of them and on each of them I got every bit of the 300MB my fiber is designed for. To my chagrin, my router turned out to be just a 100/100 rated WiFi router (but the 150/150-N protocol is hardwired). Using…

Cables are not as described - I don't need them

Title says '5 Pack' (Black/Blue/White/Red/Green). But what you get does not necessarily have to be a set of 5 different colors, but seems to have been chosen at random - in my case there are no whites, but two greens. It doesn't seem like a big deal other than it's all about the different colors. When using multiple Ethernet connections, color coding can really help keep things organized. I've usually had good luck with this company's products in the past, so I was surprised that someone at…

Red is slightly faster than Blue

I tested all of these cables on my home router and measured the boot time for each cable. I changed the direction of the tether halfway through the test to make sure I was averaging the speed and not skewing the results in favor of one direction or the other. The cables aren't labeled with the preferred download direction, so this was the best I could do. I uploaded mostly text data, not videos, so the differences depending on the content might not be that important. However, I found that the…
