Description of πŸ’¨ Cable Matters 2-Pack PWM 4 Pin Fan Extension Cable - 12 Inches: Enhance Your PC Cooling Performance!

4 pin PWM extension cable extends the cable to a computer PWM fan with Pulse Width Modulation speed control from a PWM motherboard header; Practical cable eliminates the need for a separate fan controller; Fans can spin at the same speed using software from a motherboard equipped with PWM control. Sleeved 4-pin fan power extension cable routes easily in your computer case for better cable management and reduced stress on the connection; Install a gaming rig with extra fans to operate quietly and kick in for cooling when overclocking with this PC fan extension cable. Mining rig fans companion cable allows installation of case cooling fans in the best location for maximum airflow; Re-route the cables to your fans when adding more storage. Cost-effective 2-pack of flexible PC fan extension cables routes easily in a computer case; 4-Pin fan plug sends the RPM signal to the motherboard connector for synchronizing the fan speed with the other fans; 3-Pin fan connectors omit the RPM signal pin and slave to main fan. PWM fan compatible with a PWM fan hub or computer case cooling fans such as Silverstone PWM fan Hub System, Artic 412-120mm Standard Case Fan, Corsair Air AF120 Quiet Edition Fan, Rosewill 120mm Case Fan, CM 120mm Silent Fan, and Noctua SS02 Bear Fan 3000 PWM.

Cheap Braid - Audio & Video Accessories

You can see it on the product picture but in real life the braid is so bad you can see through it. If you want to buy them without seeing the ketchup and mustard wires, look elsewhere.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • There are flaws

Connect once! for audio and video accessories

I have several excellent fans with very short cables and the extension cables that came with them always fall off because they are not tight. Cable matters PWM 4 pin fan extension cable works great! The fit is tight and there is no possibility of detachment. Thank you Cable Matters.

Pros
  • Not fit for purpose
Cons
  • No performance

does the job; Server build requires longer fan cables

Supermicro 1U chassis, Supermicro motherboard; The case fan cables are a whopping 4 inches too short to reach the circuit board. They close that gap quite well. The shortest I could find with a quick search is the 4 pin connector on both ends required for these case fans or they will curl up. to a ridiculous level.

Pros
  • Power cables
Cons
  • Damaged

Do what they say they do

I had Noctua AF-140 fans for the front of my case on a Phanteks P400S case. The fan headers for my Asus Tuf Gaming X570 motherboard were located on the underside of the board next to the front panel headers. The standard cables weren't enough so I ordered them and they worked great and solved my problem. The hardware was firm and secure without worrying about slipping out. They are also braided to make it easier to grind down the rough metal surfaces they are passed through. Highly recommended.
