Description of πŸ’‘ Cable Matters 2-Pack 8-Pin PCIe to Molex (2X) Power Cable 4 Inches: Efficient and Reliable Power Solution

PCI express power cable adapter connects a PCIe video card with an 8 pin connector to a power supply with two spare L4 Molex power connections; Check that your PSU is rated to power the video graphics card. PSU upgrade saver power cable provides an option for a power supply without a PCIe connection for GPU power; Dual Molex connectors are designed to connect to separate rails on different Molex daisy chains to power a PCIe video graphics card from an older PSU. 8 pin PCIe to Dual Molex female to male cable provides a convenient solution for video graphics card power with two Molex connectors for GPU cards that require more power. Sturdy graphics card power cable has male Molex connectors and a female PCI connector with a latch to prevent accidental disconnections. Video graphics card compatible with graphics cards from popular manufacturers such as EVGA GeForce, Gigabyte, Sapphire, and XFX.

Standard factory defect, see photos!

Every device I've ordered has two pins fused together, so the connector doesn't actually fit into a standard 8-pin PCIE connector. I took a razor blade and cut through the material that holds the plastic together and they work fine now, but the photos show very clearly that the two pins are connected together, meaning they aren't connected to either a 6 pin or a be connected to an 8-pin PCIe connector.

Pros
  • Nice
Cons
  • No automatically

Works accessories and consumables

See, if you're on this page, look at this product. You have a very specific need. You work for that need. My PSU had enough power, but for some reason I just didn't have enough plug-ins for my new graphics card. I converted some of my fancy connectors to regular ones and everything works great. My computer savvy buddy told me to NEVER rebuild, but as a guy who has rebuilt stage lights, car hookups, and general electricity many times in my life, sometimes a lot more ghetto than that. It's great.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • confused

Does what it's supposed to do

Allowed me to upgrade my Windows system from a GTX-750 ti to a GTX-960 which came out of my Linux system when I upgraded to a GTX-1070 upgraded. However, it is not that expensive to replace the CoolMaster 500W power supply in Win. box, it was a lot cheaper to just use them. One connector was a little tighter than the other, but all went well after I applied a small amount of dielectric grease to the connectors.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Volume

I would not recommend them

very cheap material, very poor quality and I couldn't even connect it to my Molex so I ended up throwing it gone, they were useless. I had to find another way, and I hope I did, but I spent a few bucks on it. The best option is to keep looking for another *update* product, maybe not a good one, but the seller/customer support contacted me long after the purchase and they took care of the problem, which wasn't expected but was greatly appreciated, a big PLUS to them for that

Pros
  • Graphics card compatible with graphics cards from well-known manufacturers such as EVGA GeForce, Gigabyte, Sapphire and XFX
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Cons
  • I have doubts

Great adapter cable, saved me from buying an extra power supply. Hooked it up to my Rx 580 card on my rig, it's been running for 3 days now, the cables don't even feel warm. Plugged in straight away, worked on first boot and now I have a spare adapter. The price for a 2 pack was cheaper than buying just one. Without them, I had the option of plugging 2 cards into my power supply using the same power line (not recommended) or buying an extra power supply. It was a much cheaper and more efficient
