Useful adapter fits computers and accessories

I have a few older systems that still work, SSD upgrades and optical drive replacements are usually done with SATA these days. These adapters are ideal when the power supply does not have SATA power connectors.

Pros
  • Electronics
Cons
  • So far so good

I turned to Cable Matters in the latest builds

I needed a lot of small cables and adapters earlier this year and this one just hit the spot. PSUs still have at least one vintage MOLEX connector and are a great way to power SATA devices, especially low-power SSDs.

Pros
  • Cables & Interconnects
Cons
  • New Competitors Arrived

Good quality, good for cables and connections

Added 2 extra drives per server and needs extra power connectors for SATA drives. I pulled firmly on each connector and checked the resistance. Good connectors at a good price.

Pros
  • SATA cable
Cons
  • Very expensive

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good quality cables at a reasonable price

Not sure why they are called Mol-X cables simply because there are no moles just plugs, wires and metal connectors. Maybe one day I'll find out why! the cable works perfectly

Pros
  • Computer Accessories and Peripherals
Cons
  • No Instructions

Cheap and reliable.

These have been deployed to a home server for about a year and are connected with some SAS drop cables. Never had slippage or performance issues. The cables are durable.

Pros
  • Computers and Accessories
Cons
  • Null

high-quality cables at a reasonable price

I don ' I don't know why they're called 'Mole X' cables because there just aren't any 'moles', just plugs, wires and metal connectors. Maybe one day I'll find out why! the cable works perfectly

Pros
  • Heavy-duty 4-pin Molex male to 2 x 15-pin female SATA splitter made of 18 AWG flexible conductors for reliable operation when connecting two SATA hard drives to one power source
Cons
  • No automatic

weak but intermittent power supply

Works well but connecting the white part is a little tricky. The white end is fragile. Over time, a hard drive connected to this Y-cable will keep failing. I replaced it with another spare part. The problem is gone.

Pros
  • Convenient Molex to SATA power adapter cable provides power to two SATA drives from a single LP4 connector; Connect the latest Serial ATA hard drives or optical drives to a power supply with older Molex LP4 connectors
Cons
  • Expensive
