Learn how to crash

Category 6 keystone terminators can easily be crashed by making sure each wire is in the correct socket for 568a or 568b. 568b seems to be the most common and AT&T uses it, which is why I chose it. Make sure each solid wire is straight over the groove before and after it is pressed in. Plastic "wire guard" is practically useless as it is not attached and will not hold. I used a small zipper at an angle to secure the jacket. I recommend them, excellent electrical connection.

Pros
  • and DIY. Cool product
Cons
  • It's ok

Ignore the pinout of the bag.

An unfortunate typo on the pockets. This is my first time and I followed the pin list on the bag which has confusion with blue (pin 5 = white/blue). Don't pay attention to the bag. Otherwise just fine.

Pros
  • Hands-free mode
Cons
  • You could choose a newer model

Good but not great.

Need some quick to finish my project. They looked like my favorite Monoprice keystone jacks, so I bought them without hesitation. The problem with them is that they don't have a cable clamp and zip tie on the end of the connector, so there is no easy way to secure the cable to the connector. Since the plug is only pluggable, the cable in the wall socket creates a voltage that is transmitted to all pins and cannot be removed with a cable tie attached to the trapezoidal plug. Hot melt glue might…

Will not fit 4 in Leviton Decora 4 port plate.

I feel guilty giving them 4 stars instead of 5 because this is my first time using ethernet keystone and I'm not sure if my complaint is specific to this Cable Matters Cat6 keystone or not I have the same problem with every brand. I complain that four of these didn't fit the Leviton Decora 4 port wall plate because they were too wide. Everything else about them was positive. I'll admit there wasn't much room in my two post box so I had to stuff some Cat6 cable behind it. After installation I…

Easy installation on the cable, even for beginners

We have plastered walls so wifi didn't work well. As a total newbie, I install them using TRENDnet's punch down tool with 110 and Krone Blade (you can probably find something less expensive here) and Cat6a Snagless Shielded (SSTP/SFTP) Ethernet Cable Matters. YouTube videos helped fill a gap in my knowledge of installation. More context for my use case: I ran a cable through the attic and used these Ethernet ports on each end to make them come out so I can connect a basic Wi-Fi router to a…

Pros
  • All right!

  • Expensive

First experience with Keystones and it was excellent. These are the first Keystones I've ever used and I'm very happy with them. I bought an old house that didn't have/had no network cables or outlets. I'm a very technical person and it's great to have everything wireless, but sometimes it's better to be wired. So I decided to install Cat6 in important places. Although they don't have instructions, all I had to do was watch the informative video in the product description to hook them up…

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • I have doubts

Works perfectly, looks good.

I've used all 10 and none had any problems. I wired my whole house with coax cables into each of my bedrooms and living rooms because I was tired of seeing the mess my cable company left me when they wired my house. Since I've already gotten my hands dirty, I've decided to use Cat6 cabling at all locations and also use a 1 gigabit room switch. I bought this set of 10 cables because I've actually used all 10 and haven't had any problems with any of them. The trick is to make sure you use the…
