These are very simple adapters. The 1/4" TRS hole could not accept a raised counterpart on any of the 5 pieces. I had to use a 1/4" drill bit to open the end down to size. One piece didn't work so I opened it up and there was a broken wire. Doesn't look repairable. After doing the 1/4" "Had opened holes I tried 4 pieces that fit now and they seem to work fine. The time will show. I would not recommend them.

These are professional caliber adapters at the lowest price I've found online including all the usual pro audio suppliers and electronics stores. A few screws were a little loose due to the long bumpy boat ride from China, so the guy who complained about that fact has to ask a real audio engineer to use a special tool called a screwdriver. I think having them in a 6 pack might be more appropriate for some reason.

Like many beginners, I sometimes think a product fits my needs, but I don't understand everything that's going on. I bought these thinking I could use them to connect my guitar to the XLR input on my speaker system, but that's not a good idea. The Gutar cable's unbalanced 1/4" plug doesn't match the impedance of the XLR jack - it just has too much juice.
