Description of RJ45 Female AB 2-Way Switch Box

Warranty: Lifetime. Converts back and forth between RJ45 Female Port and 2 RJ45 Female Ports. 2-way telephone network A/B switch box converts back and forth between RJ45 female ports. Contact is secured in the RJ45 female input with gold flash-on contacts, which allow for excellent conductivity and minimal corrosion. Data transfer switch is clearly marked with A and B, and is easily handled.

Does what I need

I work in IT in an office of 30 people so there are always people complaining about wireless or something is working on one network but not another so I switch back and forth at least once a day. Yeah our wireless hotspot sucks, HQ provided it, we had a Netgear WNDR3700 which rocked. However, since I'm not logged in as admin when I disable the wired adapter in network properties, which gets annoying after a while, I end up just unplugging the ethernet cable from the dock. In short, the product is perfect for my application. I'm a radio amateur dealing with digital modes, ARES/RACES and Skywarn. I use the USB signal port to connect my computer to the radio. Just what I need in KVM switches

I bought a Tivo for the holidays and it needs to connect to the internet once a day to download the manual information. The Best Buy guy said I need a router to connect my Tivo and my computer to the same ethernet line since I have DSL and only one outlet on the modem.
