I thought it was bigger but that's my fault. But to my surprise, these little plates are perfect for playing in my daughter's kitchen and she uses them for her snacks. She is so proud when she takes them to the kitchen and washes them. Useful and informative. A wonderful surprise.

This product is good for a 1 year old but the plates are really the size of a saucer that you can put a teacup on. They shouldn't be in the bottom of the dishwasher either, and while I've washed them from the top, most of the time we just hand wash them. Otherwise, they're a cute little dish.

I bought these plates to replace some of the 6" plates of chips (another brand) I use to feed our cats. All of our other cymbals are 6 inches. So I wanted them to stack neatly with others, and they do. They're not made of melamine, but they're durable and after a few washes in the dishwasher, they'll look as new as when you bought them. There is one feature that I didn't know existed until we used it. They have a small lip on the edge that makes it almost impossible for our cats to knock food…
