This is a "must see " for anyone who has an RV.

Have you ever seen an RV without a hot water cover? Have you ever wondered why? Well, the most common reason, especially on older motorhomes, is that the manufacturer has put a plastic fastener on the lid instead of a metal fastener. The catch is constantly exposed to ultraviolet light and will deteriorate over time. Eventually they fail and the remaining spring pushes the WH cover out to be picked up by the wind as you go down the road. That's why it's the first thing I replace in every RV…

The plastic clips have been replaced but they are a bit loose

My plastic clip broke after years of use so I went with these metal clips thinking they would hold up better. It wasn't that bad to install, but I still feel like it wobbles more than the old clip. Also, I've had a couple of times where I've opened the hatch (top of the RV water heater) and that clip has actually popped out of the hole it's installed in. street and let that hatch smack. It'll probably fly away, so I really don't know how comfortable I feel. Now I have it in place where it seems

New Water Heater Door Latches

There are many different manufacturers of caravans, but many components are made by the same companies. Most van water heater access doors use these small clips to hold the door shut, but the originals are made of plastic and metal.
