🚐 Enhance Your RV Lighting with Camco 12V Double Dome Light Replacement Review

This was a cheaper alternative. Instead of buying replacement lenses and switches for old flashlights, I bought these. I bought 6 double rooms and 5 single rooms. They all work great and light up the RV like it's noon. I am very happy with them and would recommend them to anyone who needs a 12v light.

I used this light to replace the fluorescent lighting in the bathroom of a little used TrailManor trailer. Once I have already replaced the original fluorescent lamps with other fluorescent lamps. I didn't want to spend 50€ anymore. - $60 for another short-lived fluorescent lamp. The light from this two-bulb incandescent bulb is almost as bright as a fluorescent bulb for 1/4 the price.

Easy installation, bright light, but removing the cover to change the bulb is a problem for me. The lids are designed to be squeezed and removed. It's almost impossible for me, the lens has no grip so my hands slip off and I'm too weak to squeeze it enough to remove the cap. Wouldn't buy it now. I might change my mind if the covers are easier to remove.

They just don't hold up with constant use. We are a full time motorhome and have four of these installed. Switches failed in two of them within six months. They are just as bad as the original 2013 Windjammer lights, which are very bad. The switch appears to be defective. They're easy to install and work great until they stop working altogether. They will probably please the owners who travel by motorhome a few times a year.

3A breaker fails. I ordered 6 bulbs, 3 of the switches I use the most failed. The switch gets hot and shows burn marks. One switch even melted and became inoperable. I replaced the switch with a 10 amp switch and so far so good. I don't like how hot the lights get when left on for a long time. However, they give a lot of light, there are no complaints. I will replace them with LED lights as soon as possible. I'm afraid they'll start a fire, so I don't leave them unattended.

We purchased these lights to replace the factory lights on our van and cargo trailer. We replaced the bulbs with Putco White 921 Type 360-Degree Premium High Intensity LED Bulbs. They are easy to install and emit a very bright light making them highly visible when searching for parts on a job site late at night.
