Good product best in canopies

Good replacement strap. Easy installation, appears to be of good quality. Update: After installing the Camco Patio Canopy Canopy Belt and using it for about 12-15 times, the plastic that attaches the belt to the awning guide insert ripped. left me with the awning open and a loose belt in hand. I had to put a MacGyver strap on the canopy bar to close the canopy and am now looking for a strap replacement again. I think the quality is way worse than I originally thought.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Hard to tell

Took 1/2 drive - van parts and accessories

Certainly very easy to install and worked great during pre-drive testing. The strap started wrapping around the mechanical part of the tent while driving, so I stopped and unwrapped it and the strap was already torn, chewed half the width of the strap. I think the tarpaulin strap should be sturdy enough to take some abuse. Getting chewed on the first pass seems a bit weak for the money. I ordered a more durable bracelet from another company - let's see how it performs.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Not bad

Bad design, bad quality, don't buy it.

This is for Camco #42505 99.25 inch. DO NOT buy this strap. The fabric is not wrapped around a plastic rod that slides into the channel. Instead, a side mount attaches to the side of the bar. The fabric is attached to this holder. This bracket is very weak. When installed, this bracket also protrudes from the awning roll and presses and tries to push the awning fabric when it is rolled up. I was also disappointed with the quality and thickness of the strapping material.

Pros
  • Excellent design
Cons
  • Some difficulties

I had the same problem as many others - when I first used the strap to extend the awning the strap broke out of the plastic slot on the locking bar. I had to cut the broken plastic slot and slip the spool end of the strap over part of the bar to rewind it. Hopefully this holds up as the rest of the strap looks ok. I also like the rubber insert sewn into the loop. I have purchased many different Camco products and I like their quality and price. Everything exceeded my expectations except this…

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly

Item not received as pictured

The item I received does not look like the picture. The picture shows the strap connected directly to a plastic pin that is inserted into a channel on the awning tube. What I received has a plastic pin with a plastic loop that the strap goes through and then sews back on. With this design, all pulling force on the strap is concentrated on the sides of a thin plastic loop that breaks easily. Haven't used this one yet, but others of this design have failed one use. I'm keeping this item but…

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Some flaws

Don't buy shit! You will regret it!

Absolute rubbish. Don't buy this. After reading many reviews I took a chance that the plastic that comes in the canopy is different from what is advertised. That is absolutely right. This product will tear up your awning. Additional plastic protrudes above the awning roll to hold the tape. Once you start rolling the awning and the extra plastic is pressurized it will damage the awning. I heard a popping sound of pressure on my tent, just in time to prevent it from actually piercing my vinyl…

Pros
  • This is amazing
