Essential tarp for your RV on windy days

I've seen too many expensive RV tents destroyed at a campground during hurricanes. When strong or violent storms are forecast, I always raise the awning. The rest of the time I use these nifty brackets to secure the awning to the ground. 2 straps wrap around the ends of the pulleys and extend to the included anchor bolts. Each strap has a built-in spring. There is no perfect solution for preventing weather damage, but they are about as good as I've found for a small (10-15 foot) canopy.

Doesn't hold the awning tape well

The tape is routed in a separate section with a clamping mechanism. Something like a ratchet, but it has no power! You press on the clip, tighten the harness, then release the clip and it should hold the harness and pull it across the tent. It's not like this! In principle, I can loosen the awning strap by hand, let alone hold it against the wind. Now I just tied the two pieces together because I refused to go outside and tighten the strap! I don't know if the part/clamp is defective, but I…

OK anchor set for the awning.

I used this in my 22ft shed. The kit includes two sets of straps, springs and anchors. A kit is used at each end of your canopy to secure it in light to moderate winds. I saw him hold my awning during a gust or two. I wouldn't trust that in strong winds or stormy weather. Good quality anchor and springs. However, the included straps are made of lightweight nylon. The stainless steel connecting hooks are also lightweight. Hence the three stars. Would have been nice for $15 compared to other…

Good anchor and spring. Bad strap.

Heavy duty springs. The anchors look like they are covered with something to prevent corrosion and they are fine. I have a question about belts. They seem easy. And about 4 inches from the end there is a latch in the strap. There is no link to the Snap in the instructions. When removing the strap from the carrying case, the clasp fell out of the strap leaving a hole in the strap. This hole creates a weak point that can lead to belt failure. I would not have bought this set if I had seen the…

The product is of very poor quality.

I bought 2 sets of CAMCO anchor kits for my curtainsider trailer. My order arrived quickly and was well packaged so there were no issues with the seller. However, none of the four included clips (2 per set) hold the tie down straps tight enough for the wind to easily blow away and damage the awning. I was able to unclip the straps from the clips, remove the clips, and attach the straps directly to the anchor springs with little effort. Also, one of the zip ties arrived bent and two of the…
